Paul Salvage sent this as the work of a group working with him, the total is a little light as it ignores small developments. Another figure gives 1080 from the Elsenham News magazine but this is a little high as it includes two copies each to businesses. The final figure will thus be somewhere between the two.

The problem this highlights is with current trends of two car families where one is often a 4X4 off-road monster for the school run its an awful lot of cars for a village which has its roots in horses and carts.
