The Village Hall is a large, modern hall, with excellent facilities.   It also serves as Elsenham Primary School’s Main Hall.

It is available for hire all day on Saturdays and in school Holidays and from 5.30 p.m.on other days.

The Hall measures approx 17 metres by 9 metres (55 ft by 30 ft). A computer layout of all doors windows and power points is available to assist hirers to plan function layouts.

The Hall is very well suited to a wide range of functions, including:

Public Meetings
The Hall can seat 200 people.

Quiz Nights.
The Hall seats 120 People in comfort.

Dances.
The maximum capacity is around 150 people.  It has good acoustics and a sprung floor.

Bazaars and Jumble Sales.
Plenty of room for stalls and for people to sit and move round

Guides, Scouts etc.

Art Craft, Santa and Flower Shows.
(Up to 27 6ft pitches).

Private Parties.
Children cut-off age 13

Wedding Receptions, etc.

Due to the hall doubling up as a school hall hirers can be assured that all facilities comply with all the health and safety regulations applicable to such buildings and the operators carry the normal public liability insurance and legal support.

There is also a small committee room available, reached via a spiral staircase, which can be hired separately or with the Hall.

There is  a good sized kitchen, with a modern heated trolley, hot plates, urns etc and a small cooker.  

Outside there is parking space for 30 cars in a recently extended car park.

Tables, chairs and crockery are available to hirers.   There are toilets, including a toilet for disabled people.

We have 22 six foot tables, 9 three foot tables and 200 chairs. For which there is no charge. We do however expect them to be left clean.
